A group of women The fitness suite was also opened up to some local women. These women were experiencing issues with their physical and mental health and had been shielding for a very long time. Havant and Waterlooville Primary Care Network was supporting them through their social prescribers.
With the help of Energise Me’s Open School Facilities Project, Nine Acres Community Primary school launched a Girls Fun Club. The club had a great impact on Daisy*, with her confidence and attendance improving.
Cranbourne school have launched a fitness club with the help of the Opening School Facilities project to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to be active.

Addressing the increased need around physical activity and mental wellbeing, brought about due to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
For Winchester Go LD, lockdown hugely disrupted the community they’d built for their members. With the help of Energise Me’s Investing in Communities project, they launched ‘Walk and Talk’ to help their members feel connected and be active.
Investing in Communities is about much more than funding, and has allowed us to connect with new partners, to offer workforce advice, and to facilitate discussions in new areas.
