Inspirational Satellite Clubs targeting under represented young people

Submitted on 2nd May 2019

Active Dorset have produced a Satellite Club case study video, evidencing the impact of three inspirational Satellite Clubs funded in 2018.

In Dorset our re-designed programme requires new Satellite Clubs to specifically target inactive 14-19 year olds from under-represented groups, as we try to reduce the gap in activity levels for ethnic minorities, low socio-economic groups, females and/or those with long term health problems.

From April 2019 to March 2021 our aim is to set up 18 new Satellite Clubs across Dorset.

We would like to thank Bournemouth Young Carers, Space and DREC and the young people who shared their personal experiences of being involved.
