In the past there has been a complicated and fragmented volunteer network with 7 different systems offering sporting volunteer opportunities. These systems all varied in what they offered the user operationally but all required individual login as they did not talk to each other and many offered the same opportunities. With all the systems available the APS score for volunteering in Greater Manchester reduced alarmingly from 12% to 12% in 12 months. This is when GreaterSport decided to invest money and resource to find a solution to this problem with the focus being customer led.
