Through our work with community groups and inactive women and girls Tees Valley Sport have linked up with Halo. This organisation works to support some of the most vulnerable women in our society.
Despite large numbers of young people attending Satellite Clubs, female participation only contributed to 37% and 38% of total engagement in 2015/16 and 2016/17 respectively.

The ‘Reach Into Bedfordshire’ (RIB) programme has inspired and enthused females across Bedfordshire and Luton to become upskilled and deliver activity back into their local community.
Mums’ Team aims to support mums, focusing on our disadvantaged communities as identified in the Yorkshire Sport Foundation strategy, to become leaders through sport and physical activity sessions, they are supported through this by community mentors.
#PassOnYourPassion aimed to profile and recognise existing females coaches and enable them to support women to get into coaching. By tapping into existing networks and social groups that are part of their everyday lives.
The overall aim of this project was to develop an understanding of women in the place that they live. To build on the research that has been conducted to help us understand the general barriers to participation, and create localised brands that women can relate to and feel part of.
