This week saw the installation of new artwork and signage across the NHS Outpatient Assessment Centre at Beales in Poole, commissioned by NHS Charities Together and Active Dorset.
Designed by Arthouse Design and Active Dorset, the signage provides a variety of public signposting to national campaigns and initiatives which encourage them to move more in a way that works for them, including This Girl Can and We Are Undefeatable. The signage also includes signposting to LiveWell Dorset, a free service, who provide tailored guidance and support to help people become more healthy.
The Outpatients Assessment Centre is part of of the NHS 'Think Big' initiative to help tackle waiting lists and bring diagnostic services closer to the community. with clinics initially covering dermatology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology and breast screening.
"Brightening the spaces that sometimes feel daunting with some helpful signposting to a range of different services just makes total sense", said James Day, Thriving Communities Regional Lead, it would be fantastic to see more colour and creativity across our clinical settings in the country."
The project was made possible thanks to NHS Charities Together, and can be found throughout the clinics at the Outpatients Centre in Poole.
