KentSport are supporting older adults and people with health condidtions to improve mobility, flexibility and balance through working with a new low impact exercise programme called Paracise.
Developed by Sarah Goldsack, an exercise instructor who developed muscular dystrophy and couldn’t find any classes that suited her needs, it is going down really well in Kent (and across the country). KentSport have been promoting it to instructors, leisure operators and health practitioners and also held a briefing about it at their recent Everyday Active Conference. The two films below show a local class from the participants perspective and the instructors:

Recently Kent Sport have shared this programme with local health practitioners on The Isle of Sheppey (a priority area), who gave a very positive response, so two community based instructors have been supported to train up and are being helped with their promotion – their classes start in November.
