In June 2019 Active Partnerships were delighted to form a partnership with Weightmans LLP as part of their commitment to support good causes through their Corporate Social Responsibility programme. Weightmans are supporting Active Partnerships by hosting a number of meetings throughout the year and are also building relationships with the individual Active Partnerships local to their offices across the country to help support our work.
After only 4 months this support has proved invaluable, enabling Active Partnerships to meet face to face and work collaboratively together, constantly striving to improve so we can deliver better outcomes for those most in need in local communities. The meetings Weightmans have supported has enabled Active Partnerships to develop physical activity programmes for children and young people, working on a national citizen project with StreetGames as well as co-designing work to improve access to physical activity for disabled children.
Matt Liggins, Head of Business, Active Partnerships national team said
“We are very grateful to Weightmans LLP for supporting our connectivity and improvement agenda, helping our network of 43 charitable organisations to engage communities and transform lives. As our network is made up of small charitable organisations, either with modest premises or hosted within other sites, and our national team is entirely home-based, getting together to further our work is a challenge.
This relationship has already saved our network considerable time and money and provides us with the opportunity to come together to further our aims, which is invaluable. We would like to thank Weightmans for their support and look forward to continuing the relationship into 2020”
