#LDNMovesMe competition winner, Ravi Sandhu gets put through his paces with Olympic athlete

Last Wednesday, we arrived at Mile End Stadium for an early morning personal training session hosted by Olympic athlete and #LDNMovesMe Ambassador, Perri Shakes-Drayton. The session was for Ravi Sandhu, one of our #LDNMovesMe competition winners. Ravi has been a true champion of demonstrating the values behind the #LDNMovesMe campaign.

A Learning Specialist by trade, Ravi explored the opportunities of getting and helping others to be physically active through his love of bhangra music. From this, Ravi became a dance teacher and created his own classes called Pungra Fit, infusing exercise and dance to create sessions that have helped many Londoners get active, who may not have had the opportunity previously before.

Ravi won the competition by sharing a photo of his group at the end of the class, using the hashtag. This is a ritual that Ravi has done since the beginning of his classes and was incredibly excited when he found out he would be training with Perri Shakes-Drayton.

Perri Shakes-Drayton has been a great ambassador for the #LDNMovesMecampaign since it was launched in March this year. Perri has recently been announced in the 4x100 Relay Team for the IAAF World Championships in August alongside Zoey Clark, Emily Diamond, Eilidh Doyle, Laviai Nielsen and Anyika Onuoras. You can see the full list of squads here.

London Sport would like to say a huge thank you to Perri for taking the time out of her schedule to provide this session and to Ravi, for not only entering and sharing how London moves him, but for also supporting our target of getting 1,000,000 Londoners more physically active by 2020.
