At Active Partnerships our mission is to increase levels of engagement in sport and physical activity, reducing levels of inactivity, tackling stubborn inequalities and using the power of sport and physical activity to transform lives. Across our nationwide network of 43 Active Partnerships we are constantly striving to improve so we can deliver better outcomes for those most in need in local communities.
Active Partnerships have committed to a Network Charter that helps us to work smarter together and strengthens individual and collective quality, value and impact. We meet regularly to share learning and best practice, plan improvements, deliver training and engage with partners. We do use webinars and calls, but recognise the value of face to face meetings to work collaboratively and bring partners together.
As our network is made up of small charitable organisations, either with modest premises or hosted within other sites, and our national team is entirely home-based to cover the whole country, getting together to further our work is a challenge.
We are therefore delighted to have formed a partnership with Weightmans LLP as part of their commitment to support good causes through their Corporate Social Responsibility programme. Weightmans are supporting Active Partnerships by hosting a number of meetings throughout the year and are also building relationships with the individual Active Partnerships local to their offices across the country to help support our work.
Matt Liggins, Head of Business, Active Partnerships national team said
“The Active Partnerships national team is very grateful to Weightmans LLP for supporting our connectivity and improvement agenda, helping our network of 43 charitable organisations to engage communities and transform lives. This relationship saves our network considerable time and money and provides us with the opportunity to come together to further our aims, which is invaluable.”
Peter Forshaw, Head of Weightmans’ CSR programme said
“At Weightmans we promote the importance of physical activity as part of our wellbeing programme, so we are delighted to work with Active Partnerships to ensure they are able to continue the great work that they do in the community in an economic and efficient way.”
