Residents have used recent months as an opportunity to take more time to get out and discover what is on their doorstep. Active Together wants to keep this momentum going as winter approaches by helping people stay mentally and physically healthy by safely getting active in their area.
Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport have worked in partnership with National Institute of Health Research’s Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care, East Midlands (NIHR CLAHRC EM) to contribute to the creation of the Falls Management and Exercise (FaME) toolkit.

The Twilight Games Championships took place at Parklands Leisure Centre in Oadby on Tuesday 11th September, as 8 Care Homes and 48 residents from across the County competed to claim the first ever title, following the success of the Twilight Games Programme.
The Daily Boost aims to encourage children and young people to do 15 minutes of organised activity at school every day. It was officially launched at Brocks Hill Primary School in Oadby on Thursday 7thJune.
Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's 'Feel Alive from 65' Celebration returned for the 6thconsecutive year to rejoice participation of sport and physical activity amongst the older generation.
Following on from the success of 'Female Friendly' Netball back in April, 11 teams descended once again on Soar Valley Netball Centre for another evening of competition on Wednesday 12th July.
LRS, have been working closely with local leisure providers and clubs to support them to deliver more inclusive opportunities within their programmes and sports during the Paralympics and beyond.
On Wednesday 29th June 2016, 36 young sports leaders and their parents attended an ELITE Sports Leadership Academy Celebration Event at Leicestershire County Cricket Club, organised by Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport.
