To coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week, Active Cumbria alongside Every Life Matters, have created ‘Be Active, Be Healthy, Be Well – A Guide for Young People’, a booklet to be distributed as part of the Every Life Matters Secondary School Programme.
Every Life Matters promote Suicide Safer Communities and provide Suicide Bereavement Support across Cumbria. This new collaboration will see over 1000 guides distributed to children and young people through assemblies and workshops delivered in secondary schools.
The resource highlights the positive impact and influence that physical activity can have on mental health and wellbeing. It offers advice, guidance and a number of interactive opportunities to support young people to get, and stay active throughout their time at Secondary School! The resource can be accessed here
