Walking whilst talking - What's not to like!

  • Local News

Active Cheshires  Walk2Talk community walks funded by Assura have become increasingly popular over the last couple of weeks and we were delighted with the turn out this week, despite the heavy rain and hail!

We have a lovely group of people participating with our walks and it’s great that we’ve received such positive feedback.

One of our participants said “I’m feeling much more active, I enjoy the fresh air and as the group is always changing places you get to talk to everyone”.

Another participant said “I used to enjoy walking for pleasure a lot when my husband was alive, however, since my husband has died I have only walked to get to places, as I don’t feel safe to walk alone in quieter places”.

We have thoroughly enjoyed leading the walks and we're sad that it’ll be the last walk this coming Monday.  However, we’re looking forward to having Rebecca from Assura join us on Monday.

If you would like to join us on Monday, we’re meeting at Lifetime on Sankey Street at 11:30am or contact us for further information on 07850 775064
